"I only regret that I didn’t know that years ago."

What I didn’t realize prior to this course though, is just how important some of these things are. One takeaway I had from the mini course that I’m going to need to work on if I want to be successful in sync is going to require something of a paradigm shift in my thinking. In the past, I have always written and produced my songs specifically to get attention, to stand out, and be noticed. However, with sync, I have now learned that approach is going to almost certainly conflict with the dialogue in scenes.

So, that was a big takeaway. But the biggest “ah-ha” moment for me (and no, I’m not referring to the 80s band with the smash hit “Take On Me”) came from the Rock Production tutorial where you were being very specific about how you use effects and EQ, etc.
